Snow Day Toque

I tried a new pattern over the last few day..I think it was a few days.  I had to work somewhere in between there.  I had high hopes for this project.  While I found the pattern to be very easy to follow and relatively fast to create, I'm not so fond of the outcome.  

This is the finished hat...looks good, right!?

I need to do some tweaking I think in order to make it look as pretty while the wearer has it on their head.  It could be the color as well.. People want white hats lately so that is what I've been making... Anyway, back to why I don't love it.
This is what it looks like while on your head.

The openness/looseness of the stitches annoy me.  I like in Upstate New York so it is cold.  I like to have a little something to my hats so girls aren't walking around with frozen ears. I may end up lining this one for some extra warmth.

Anyway, I'm off for the next couple of days so I plan to whip up a few more cabled hats.  Till next time....
